I looked up the word Huarache in a dictionary – no. You’re right; I didn’t; I Googled it then looked at the Wikipedia entry. I’m not a total Luddite! It turns out that Huaraches are Mexican sandals, and have a history going back to before Columbus stumbled onto the Americas. Nike’s Huaraches (see what I did there?) have a history too, but it’s shorter not nearly as interesting as the current range of shoes on offer.

I’ve been looking at the range on here and there are some stunning shoes! They all share the heel strap feature that gives them their name, looking as they do a bit like futuristic sandals, but the designs head out into the wilds from there, and there’s something for everyone, no matter how conservative . . . or otherwise . . . they might be.
